Badging

BCH Oakland policy requires that all staff and visitors wear a BCH Oakland ID badge when on the premises. This includes all faculty, staff, trainees, observers, and visitors. The BCH Oakland badge is separate from the UCSF badge.

Visitors may obtain a badge from the Security Desks located in the hospital and OPC II.

All other badges must be initiated by the individual's home department through BCH Oakland's instance of Service Now. There are several members on the Oakland HR team who will respond to these requests. All UCSF employees issued a badge are required to have the Medical Center level health screening (Flu, Covid, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, TB, etc.). If they are a campus employee, we will review their information in the Occupational Health department's TrackIt system. Both initial requests and additional access need to be requested through the Service Now portal, as applicable.
