Badging

BCH Oakland policy requires all staff and visitors to wear a BCH Oakland ID badge while on the premises. This includes all faculty, staff, trainees, observers, and visitors. The BCH Oakland badge is separate from the UCSF badge.

Visitors may obtain a badge from the Security Desks located in the hospital and OPC II.

All other badges must be initiated by the individual's home department in the BCH Oakland's ServiceNow portal. Several members of the Oakland HR team will respond to these requests. All UCSF employees issued a badge are required to have the Medical Center-level health screening (Flu, Covid, MMR, Varicella, Tdap, TB, etc.). Both initial requests and additional access must be requested through the ServiceNow portal, as applicable.
