The School of Medicine Dean’s Office at BCH Oakland exists to facilitate understanding, systems, and infrastructure across the institutions in support of the work performed by UCSF faculty and staff at BCH Oakland. As a result of BCH Oakland’s separate hospital licensure, it maintains payroll, security and badging, facilities and parking, and contracting systems that are distinct from those managed and supported by UCSF. The Dean’s Office partners with staff, faculty, university administration, and external collaborators to:

• Convene conversations to identify gap and bridge solutions.
• Evaluate and engineer for continuous integration.
• Act as leaders of organizational knowledge and change agents for system and process improvements.
